4th Training School, March 17-22, 2019, Mons, Belgium

After the great success of the first three training school event of the e-MINDS project, hereby we announce the 4th (and unfortunately the last) e-MINDS Training School which will be held in Mons, Belgium between 17-22 March 2019. The chief local organizer is Marjorie Olivier (MC member from Belgium, University of Mons).

The venue of the course will be one of the lecture hall of the University of Mons. Accommodation and dining facilities will be provided very close to the site. Further details will be given after the application period.

Applications of early-stage researchers from the countries participating in the COST MP 1407 action are welcome (see the application form separately or contact the Management Committee members of your country). The deadline of the submission of the application forms is 15 November 2018. Late submissions can be supported up to the available budget only, but otherwise the event will be open for researchers who cannot get a support for any reason up to the capacity of the venue.

This training event includes three education modules with the following titles and key lecturers:

  • Corrosion: Theory, forms of corrosion, protection modes
    Marjorie Olivier, Véronique Vitry, Herman Terryn, Laurent Diguet, Leonardo Bertolucci Coelho (Belgium), Jelena Bajat (Serbia), Lorenzo Fedrizzi (Italy), Alexandre Bastos (Portugal)
  • Magnetism and electroplating
    Kristina Tschulik (Germany), plus one more trainer tbd
  • From Academy to industry: Company management, scale-up, marketing
    Wolfgang Hansal (Austria, Ottó Temesi (UK/Hungary)
Group tasks are led by László Péter (Hungary) and the members of the "Company" team.
